Dr. Jonathan Sheff
Dr. Sheff received his doctorate from Purdue University School of Veterinary Medicine in 1987. After a few years
in general practice, he started working at the Airport Animal Emergi-Center in 1991. He was appointed Hospital
Director and placed on the Board of Directors in 2006 and has held the position of President of the Board of
Directors since 2010. He also practices primary care medicine and surgery once a week at Meridian Veterinary
Hospital.
Dr. Brent Gust
Dr. Gust received his doctorate from Purdue University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2003. He as been
associated with the Airport Animal Emergi-Center since 2005.
Dr. Robert Naum
Dr. Naum has been associated with Airport Animal Emergi-Center since its founding in 1982. He did his
undergraduate training at Cornell, earning a BS in a wildlife and biology major. He graduated 2nd in
Cornell’s veterinary class of 1978. He was selected for a rotating medical/surgical internship at the
University of California Davis where he received the Best Intern of the Year award. After two years of
general practice, he devoted the next 30 years to the emergency and critical care field. Currently,
Dr Naum is on the Board of Directors for the clinic and continues to consult with the clinic’s full
time veterinarians.
Dr. Michelle Gray
Dr. Gray received her doctorate from Purdue University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2011. After growing up in
Brownsburg, Dr. Gray attended Purdue University for both her undergraduate and doctorate education. Following graduation,
she spend 1 year in Clinton, IN practicing companion animal medicine with a passion for Camelids (alpacas and llamas).
Her husband’s education brought them back to the Indianapolis area where they continue to call home. Dr. Gray practiced
as a general practitioner for a total of 5 1/2 years, doing relief work for Airport Animal Emergi-Center (AAEC) a couple
times a month. In January of 2017, Dr. Gray joined AAEC full-time. In her free time, Dr. Gray enjoys traveling, yoga,
indoor rock climbing, hiking and spending time with friends and family. She and her husband live in Carmel with their
1 cat, Nelly who came to them as a stray kitten.
